Emerson Stone is a product-focused design agency in Boulder, Colorado. Through strong partnerships with our clients, we create beautiful brands and lasting digital applications used by millions of people around the world.
The mid-level web developer is a contract-to-hire position and will involve both server-side and client-side programming. Acting as the bridge between the backend and front-end team, your responsibilities will focus on implementing complex features into new or existing code-bases, by writing clean and simple code. You will be a part of a tight-knit team that strives to create quality digital experiences and is constantly challenging themselves to improve. If we have a good working relationship, there is potential for the position to turn into a full-time position in the future.
A typical day at Emerson Stone involves fresh brewed coffee, reviewing assigned tasks with the dev team, and jumping into code. We work closely between designers and developers, reviewing and testing new features as often as we can. We often act as an in-house product team for our clients which means we work hard to reach deadlines, and jump between a multitude of projects. You will be exposed to new problems, different code-bases, and varying toolsets that you will need to get comfortable jumping between. Our lean approach to web development means your work will have a significant impact on the business and the work that we produce.
Links to previous work, a GitHub account or portfolio site, as well as a cover letter explaining why you would be a great fit for the agency will be required for your application. Sorry, no recruiters.
