    Junior Interface Designer

We look to work with the best designers and the most passionate creators in the industry. If you think that you might fit that bill, please keep reading.

The position of junior interface designer is an entry-level position with Emerson Stone that will involve production design as well as creative work. The position is meant to augment the senior interface designers and speed up the design process throughout the agency. There will be opportunities to do showcase unique design directions that will be seen by clients and possibly go live.

While the position is junior, Emerson Stone expects a dedicated work ethic from anyone at the agency. This includes completing all work on time at a high-level of quality and be open to new ideas. The position is intended to help a new designer find her or his voice within the industry and challenge expected outcomes.

Outside of interfaces for the web and mobile, there is also the possibility of working on interfaces for augmented and virtual reality.

This is a junior position, so prior work experience is not required. There does have to be a strong work ethic and an ability to learn, take comprehensive notes, and deliver on time. Work will span the Adobe portfolio—Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign—along with Sketch App. An interest in code is recommended as most of the design work is intended for the screen and will have to be implemented by a developer.

A portfolio of previous work, for personal or professional clients, along with a cover letter explaining why you want to work in the field of design will be required for your application.
